In the context of the first oil crisis in 1973, recalling the last events of Franco-Algerian relations: -Last July, the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Aziz Bouteflika on his first official visit to Paris since the Independence of Algeria. - While Alger described the trip as highly positive, the assassination in Marseilles of a bus driver by an immigrant, August 25, 1973, caused a wave of racist crimes. - On September 19, the Algerian government suspended the emigration to France. -On December 14, an attack against the Algerian consulate in Marseilles, Dieudé Street, aroused strong emotions in both countries. .Type
