Abstract

Split is a unique city-palace in the world. Its history dates back to 4th century AD, when Emperor Diocletian built a 40 000m2 palace on the banks of the Adriatic. Over the centuries, a city settled and raised indoors. This palace, which now has 3,000 inhabitants, has not yet revealed all its secrets. With the participation of: Goran Niksic Conservative, who guards the rich heritage of the ancient city and Damir, climbing passionate: Marjan hill overlooks the Adriatic Sea and the palace of Diocletian; it is a mythical place for all inhabitants of Split, and above all a paradise for climbers. The quality of its rock, similar to that of the palace, is renowned throughout Croatia.
