Abstract

Fernand Pouillon joined Algeria in 1966 because he could no longer build in France,as he was removed from the Order of Architects, following the embezzlement of the CNL (Housing National Comptoir). He gives some explanations to Pierre Dumayet and Jean Gallo who came to interview him in Algiers, on the occasion of the publication of his memoirs, "Memoirs of an Architect". In 1953, he achieves the 800 housing set of Diar es-Saada and Diar el-Mahçoul 1,800 homes, built in 365 days in ​​perfect respect of the local architectural style and especially the notion of urban space. In Algiers, the set of Climat de France, located above Bab el-Oued, will follow.
