Abstract

Reportage in Algiers about the Algerian cinema. Some filmmakers tell us about its evolution since the war of liberation and the political, social and cultural transformation reflected in it. Through an agency, the ONCIC, the Algerian cinema seeks to fully assume its own productions. With film excerpts and testimony of Mohamed Lakhdar ( "The war of liberation" and "Wind of Aures"), Ahmed Rachedi, ("Opium and the stick "), Mohamed Bouamari ("the collier'') and Merzak Allouache and its great success: Omar Gatlato.
