Abstract

A study meeting for the detection of polluted areas in the Mediterranean will be held next January under the auspices of UNESCO. Captain Cousteau and the Calypso crew are responsible for identifying and filming these areas. Operating in the Bay of Marseille, at the collector output of the city sewers, Jacques-Yves Cousteau gives his assessment on the beaches of Marseille, the area of Fos and the Etang de Berre.
