In this program, Fernand Braudel back at the beginnings of civilization, born in the fertile crescent of Mesopotamia, to reach the shores of the Mediterranean coast of present-day Lebanon, from which the Phoenicians leave for a long conquest to the west, to the pillars of Hercules and along the Nile, where the mastery of the river will give birth to the first Egyptian dynasties. Sabatino Moscati and Maurice Dunand trace the history of the Phoenician civilization, born in the eastern Mediterranean, after that F. Braudel presented us the Protomegalithic civilizations, whose traces can still be seen in Malta, Corsica, in the Aegean, or in Sicily.Type
