Abstract

Etna has been a resurgence of activity in March 2000. Oracio Consoli, 52, was born here and knows every corner of the volcano. As a longtime member of the Company of Guides of Etna, he is now employed by the International Institute of Volcanology in Catania, to accompany the Italian and foreign scientists on the flanks of the volcano when it gets angry.
