Abstract

The episode sheds light on the artist Muhanna Dura and his view through his last exhibition entitled (the line and the movement). For Dura, this symbolizes the movement of music and dance, reflecting the heart pulses of the artist. Muhanna Dura was born in 1938, in Amman and graduated from the faculty of fine arts in Rome, in 1958. He organized many exhibitions of paintings in France, Italy, the United States of America, India and the Arab World. He was granted a number of decorations and medals, from the Pope of the Vatican in 1970, as well as a medal from his Majesty King Hussein Bin Talal. He also contributed in the founding of the Institute of Fine Arts in Jordan. We should not forget to mention that Dura started painting since he was only nine years old.
