Abstract

The 'Ajial' association was established in the city of Aqaba in order to provide services for people with special needs or challenges through the care given to these people by training them on drawing, calligraphy, ceramics and work on the production of advertising items. These items are sold to companies and institutions, thus the association and its members benefit from the profit. The association is supported by the government and private institutions that believe that it aims at sustainable development. As to Mr Ahmed Sobh, he went to the region of Um - el- Djamal, East of El Mafraq, reclamed the desert land and turned it into green farms of vegetables and fruits. This is an example of a strong citizen who challenges the hardships of nature.
