Abstract

The episode talks about man's efforts to make the desert attractive. It introduces the desert and its history, particularly the arabian desert from which leaders and prophets came. Roads were built through the desert, which changed the bedouin way of life and, with other services, made it more attractive. The Jordanian desert contains oil, phosphates in the mines of Hasa, as well as cement, copper and manganese plants. This desert witnessed many civilizations; the palaces and the ruins narrate stories about the different populations.
