Abstract

A documentary about the Central Bank of Jordan founded in 1959 and started work in 1964. The objectives of the central Bank of Jordan are: to maintain monetary stability in the Kingdom and promote economic growth according to the economic policy of the government. Its role is to supervise the banking system of Jordan, issue coins, print banknotes, and withdraw the old and unusable ones. It also detects forged money, supervises the museum of coins, and saves the Kingdom’s gold reserves and foreign currencies. It implements the financial and banking transactions with Islamic and international financial institutions. It has the role of the government bank, as it keeps the Ministries accounts and budgets, opens credits and trade agreements and it also founds companies and financial institutions.
