A documentary to celebrate the centenary year of the Hijaz railway foundation by the Sultan Abdehamid II in 1900 during the Ottoman Empire for transporting pilgrims from Damascus to the holy places of pilgrimage and thus bring relief to them. The Hidjaz railway has linked Damascus to Daraa, to Oman, then Maane to Madoura then Tabouk. The train reached Medina in 1908 passing through 29 stations, this has contributed to build cities and villages at these stations to provide services and make the train and its services known. During the First World War the part of the railway from Maane to Medina was destroyed, but after the great Arab revolt, the Arab countries namely Syria, Jordan and Saoudi Arabia decided to restore it.Type
