AbstractThis episode from the program “A window on…” deals with the period which preceded the Balfour Declaration and forty years after the agreements between Sherif EL Hussein and the English on the liberation of the Arab region from the Turks. Then came the Balfour Declaration which gave support for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine and the consequences of this Declaration in terms of political and geographical transformations. King Abdullah was the first King of the Jordanian Kingdom which included the East and West Bank. King Abdullah died as a martyr in Jerusalem. Then came the period of King Hussein and the Arab-Israeli wars which occurred from 1948 to 1967, the peace agreements, the negociations which were in the Spanish capital Madrid after the burning of Al Aqsa Mosque and the support of King Hussein for the reconstruction of Al Aqsa Mosque. King Hussein donated his own money for that.
