In this edition from the magazine “Bouh Al Badia” we present the cultural heritage in Jordan’s desert where traditions are preserved. We also present the realistic image of modern development and the change experienced in the desert. We get to know about the house of hairwhich depends on the wool of sheep and what it represents to the inhabitants in terms of security and housing. People sing and tell stories, and tales about their houses which bear the desert’s hard conditions. We get to know about the Monastery cave, a region in the east of Mafraq . It was transformed from an area of traveling to stability. Its most important inhabitants are Al massaed and the shorafat. They work in agriculture and have some functions in the governments’ institutions.Type
