Abstract

This episode talks about the vocabulary in the desert, and the integration between place, man and traditions. Presentation of the Jordanian society and Arab societies, the changes that occurred in the life of Ibn Al Badia (man of the desert) although he sticks to his heritage, art, dancing especially “Essamer”. Presentation of the Arabic coffee which is indispensable to him. How it is prepared and offered to the family and guests. There are traditions, stories and poems told about coffee, there is a ritual to be respected. The place is a site where there is a well, 160 Km South far from Karak and 115 Km North of Aqaba. The story of this well is associated with other stories: - The story of a girl called “Tayr Shalwa”. - We get to Know about the various species of Arabian horses. - The story of the hunter of hawks.
