Abstract

This episode is about the remnants that indicate Islam in all parts of Jordan ; In Ajloun there are remnants which date back to the era of the Islamic conquests and which have contributed to the spread of Islam. At the summit of Mount Aoun in Ajloun, there is Ajloun's Castle which has been closely linked to the Islamic conquests: distinguished figures , Muslim scholars , and learned men . The castle was built in 580 AH by the Muslim leader Izz Eddine Usama bin Mounkid . The castle is considered as a lighthouse in the Islamic world . The Fatimids and the tribe of Ben Aoun have contributed to the building of this castle. Presentation of other castles related to the same era in east Jordan,such as the Karak and Shobak castles. Ajloun was named after the Commander Al- Ajlouni , who fought the Israeli people .
