Abstract

The episode is about Um al DJamal, and the Roman route of passing trade caravans in the Trojan period. The road was paved with stones and was later used by Muslims;in the period of Muslim conquests which was called " the Summer and Winter Journey '; the prophet Mohammed used it when he went to meet the monk ( Bouhaira), in El Bukeyawiy . The episode presents archaeological and historical sites: churches,,engravings, manuscripts from the Christian period and others from the islamic and the Umayyad periods.
