Abstract

1- The history and foundation of Mar Saba’s church, life inside the monastery as well as customs and traditions there. - The geographical situation of the church in the desert east of Bethlehem and how the Saint monk Mar Saba retired and built this monastery between 478 and 532. - The documentary evokes life in the monastery and the believers' traditions and customs. Saba was embalmed after his death to be buried in the church, but his body was stolen during the crusade war and was brought back to the church later. 2- Life inside the monastery: It is forbidden for women, it is also forbidden to use electricity, water, customs and traditions there. 3- The book “Tibkoun” (how to pray) written by Saint Mar Saba.
