Abstract

The magazine presents the initiatives of the provincial administration of Naples to protect two great historical sites of the metropolis : the Royal Palace in Portici (Reggia di Portici) and the Gran Caffe` Gambrinus in the center of Naples. Experts are interviewed about the history, the conservation, the evaluation and the restoration of both sites. The video shows some views of Naples and shots representing the internal and external parts of the Royal Palace, including the educational museum “Herculanense Museum”. The magazine presents also internal and external views of the Gran Caffe'. Antonio Sergio, director of the Gran Caffe', tells an anecdote concerning the President of Republic Ciampi who came with his wife and paid his café with his first euro on january 1st of 2002.
