Abstract

Federico Quaranta and Nicola Prudente take us to the Piedmont to discover the amazing city of Turin, the first capital of the kingdom of Italy from 1861 to 1865. Panoramic views of Turin streets, squares, monuments and palaces of the city. Details of some statues and other works of art. Boats on the River Po. Evocation of the production of chocolate, specialty of the region. Interior and exterior of shops and cafés. Tasting a specialty from Turin, the Bicerin, a drink made from espresso, hot chocolate and milk, known since the eighteenth century. Discovery of the Fenestrelle, the largest fortress in Europe, built by the Piedmont from 1728 to 1850 to protect themselves from France. Views of the fort and the valley. Interviews with several specialists.
