Linea Verde invites us to the discovery of a wonderful region, the Belice Valley, located in south western Sicily. Eleonora Daniele introduces the history of the region by flying over the archeological site of Selinonte in a helicopter. The site in one of the largest archeological areas in Europe. It reveals the importance of the city during Greek colonization. Selinonte was indeed one of the relevant cities of the Magna Graecia, and was home to 80 000 inhabitants between the 5th and the 4th century B.C. In more recent days, Belice valley was struck by a violent earthquake in 1968. Finally we follow, in the company of Fabrizio Gatta, a breeder, Baldassarre Interrante, who evokes the livestock and the natural products of the region.Type
