Abstract

In the High and Middle Atlas mountains where man is still attached to land, we were guests of a family of the nomadic tribe of Aït Morghad. Our passage coincided with the Eid Al Adha. It was an opportunity for a closer look at how this great religious festival is celebrated far from civilization. Through the interview with the members of this family, we felt that these nomads are still hesitating between the nomadic and sedentary lifestyle. Is it possible to meet the claims of the nomads who aspire, to a sedentary life with all its implications so as to satisfy the needs in: education, health ... while preserving nomadism as a lifestyle which has marked our society for centuries?
