Abstract

Travel ion the track of the explorer Michel Vieuchange (1904-1930) who went to Smara after waiting 13 days in Tiglit. The little caravan first headed north to deceive the indicators. After 15 km of walking the group borrowed the right track to reach its destination in the south. Leaving aside this historic route for a moment, "Amouddou" explores the village of Ait Aouint Oussa, surrounded by mountains that offered protection against raids. The inhabitants emotionally relate the history of their village that dates back to more than seven centuries. The remains bear witness to the importance of heritage and the harsh conditions that today are the hallmark of this area where men and women have still managed to give life to the land.
