Abstract

Cedrus extends in different parts of the world such as, North America, Cyprus, the Himalaya Mountains, minor Asia, Algeria, Lebanon and Morocco. In Morocco, it covers an area of 133.000 ha. This tree has got virtues for both people and livestock; it is a raw material for timber industry and provides abundant quantities of oxygen. But this tree suffers from lack of rainfall when we know that it needs 750 mm of water each year. It is also uprooted by people for more farmland and threatened by fires because of the people's condition which has changed from mobility to stability .
