Abstract

Abdelhai El Mellakh is one of the most outstanding Moroccan painters. Though living in Casablanca, his relationship with his hometown, Marrakech, remains unchanged, because it is the place where he grew up, his source of inspiration, and also, because it is a global cultural forum. The program introduces his latest works which were displayed in Bab Al Rouah hall, in Rabat. The critic Abdenabi Dechine says, "these works have given Moroccan plastic arts a distinctive style, and that experience has a genuine Moroccan identity".
