Abstract

Summer is the season of holidays, it is also that of wedding ceremonies. Casablanca has preserved many of the traditional wedding features which do not differ from one region to another, except for some small details. The traditional wedding has known some superficial changes to keep pace with modernity. For instance, nowadays the ceremony lasts only two nights : henna and the wedding night which is often held in a banquet hall where food is prepared and spaces decorated by specialists. The bride is also dressed up in various dresses, the Moroccan "kaftan" remains essential in the bride's dressing.
