This episode of "twentieth century Morocco" series demonstrates, through the testimony of the historian Mbarek Zaki, the main events that followed the Green March (Nov. 6th, 1975). This event was a turning point in the post-independence history of Morocco. It rose a sense of nationalism among the Moroccan people towards the recognition of the Saharan territories as an integral part of the Moroccan territories. The episode also shows the economic and social growth in the Saharan territories after 1975, as well as the military confrontations between Morocco and the Polisario Front. It also explains the reasons that led Morocco to withdraw from the Organization of African Unity.Type
