Abstract

A new strategy for fishing called "Halieutis" was launched in September 2009. It's aim is to achieve : development and competitiveness in this sector, the sustainable valorisation of marine resources and triple the outcome of the sector by 2020. In order to implement this plan, three competitive poles will be created in Tangiers, Agadir and El Ayoun. Two years after the launching of Halieutis, the fishing sector has improved in management and organization.
