Abstract

Report on the new Moroccan movie on the legendary Moroccan football player, Larbi Benbarek ( July 16, 1914 - September 16, 1992 ). The film producer, Idriss el Marini tried to relate his career. Despite his worldwide fame , Benbarek ended his life unknown and forgotten. Many figures in the politics and football attended the premiere of the film in Mohamed V theatre, in Rabat. In his declaration, Idriss El Marini reminded that though Benbarek played in French and Spanish clubs and was married to a French woman, he never denied his Moroccan identity. Mohamed Khechla, who played the role of Benbarek, says that this film enriches the national memory.
