Abstract

A visit to the most important mosques in European countries in Ramadhan. The first one is the great mosque in Strasbourg; a city characrerized by a local law that supports the freedom of religions. The construction of this mosque started in 2006 thanks to efforts of the muslims of the city and the municipality which offered the piece of land. The mosque of St Etienne which is almost ready has benefited a royal gift. In the Netherlands, the Rotterdam mosque is the pride of the muslims living in the city. The programme mentions the religious rites and the prayers in El Feth mosque, in Maastricht and in Bilal Islamic Center in Aachen, Germany, as well as the side activities such as the Quranic schools, the celebration of religious events and th preparation of meals during Ramadhan.
