Abstract

The village of "Darghouthia" is an oasis in southern Tunisia. The villagers depend on agriculture, crafts of weaving and the manufacture of plaster, performed by women. The homes are equipped with electric current, but the village suffers from desertification. Various shots: sand dunes. Panoramic views: the village "Darouthia". Plans set of power poles - Palms - sunrise - the overall plan of a village woman with a jar of water on her back - a water source - interviews with villagers - panoramic views of the Sahara - Layout of the oasis - agricultural work ( preparation of irrigation pipes - gathering of dates).
