Abstract

This part of the program named "How beautiful my country is! " drives us into the city of Zaghouan and shows us the hanaya ( ancient water pipes made by the Romans, used to provide water from Carthage). These water pipes have been made in the age of the Emperor Hadrian to stock water. Then, we visit the water temples built by the Romans at the top of the mountain which are nowadays replaced by parcs. Later, we meet the prefect of the province of Zaghouan, M. Hanaya Kadour. The program is ending with a visit of the sanctuary of the benefactor Wali Sidi Ali Azzouz. We also visit his zawya (the grave of Wali).
