Abstract

The video presents a poignant criticism of the Catalan bourgeoisie at the end of the 19th century from the bohemian viewpoint of modernist playwright, Santiago Rusiñol. The protagonists of the play are a family of intellectuals who are fed up with their small town environment with big city airs. Their lives change completely with the arrival of a relative from Barcelona.
