Abstract

The video presents an analysis of the transportation problems in the Barcelona metropolitan area, either by road or by rail, and the ways a fourth ring road could help in alleviating them. Opinions both for and against the project are voiced by the following individuals, among others: a truck driver who recounts his daily experiences on the highway; political figures such as Manel Nadal, Secretary of Transportation, and Felip Puig, ex-Minister of Territorial Policy and Administration; representatives of the Barcelona and Terrassa Chambers of Commerce; a local farmer; and a member of an environmental organization. The program includes graphic depictions of the proposed ring road route as well as information on the long-term economic benefits of the project.
