Abstract

Barcelona: a review of the forty years of television in Catalonia. On July 14, 1959, Televisió de Catalunya’s first programs were broadcast from the studios at Miramar. José Luis Barcelona, one of the journalists involved in the first broadcasts, recalls those days. That was the start of the history of television in Catalonia, which is described in a book by Josep Maria Baget Herms, TV critic for “La Vanguardia” newspaper.
